The UT521 device from the manufacturer UNI-T is a device designed for measuring the resistance of earthing conductors and voltage potentials on them, with auxiliary earthing electrodes.
The tester is designed with an intelligent digital microprocessor that helps to obtain high accuracy and reliability. It is designed for measuring earthing systems in power plants, energy and telecommunications distribution systems and for checking the earthing resistance of lightning conductors. It offers two-wire and three-wire measurement of the earth resistance of the earthing switch using an auxiliary voltage of up to 50V / 820Hz generated by the device. It determines the value of earth resistance in the range of 0 Ω to 2000 Ω, in three subranges. It is also possible to measure the voltage on the earthing switch, or between the individual earthing switches of the building, in the range of 0 to 200 V. The device is light and the design is adapted for work in the outdoor environment.

The accessories include cables for standard three-wire measurement (green length 5m, yellow length 10m, red length 20m), simple test cables for two-wire measurement, 2 pcs of auxiliary grounding electrodes.
The measured values ​​are displayed on a four-digit backlit LCD display and 20 sets of measured values ​​can be stored in the internal memory and recalled later. The device is powered by six 1.5V alkaline batteries. The device has double insulation with an insulation resistance> 20MΩ between the measured circuits and the device housing. When measuring earth voltage, the overload protection is 30 sec for voltages up to 400 V / AC and when measuring earth resistance, the overload protection is 10 sec for voltages up to 200 V / AC. The device is manufactured according to safety standards: IEC 61010-1 CATIII 600V; IEC 61557-1.5; IEC 61010-2-31.
