UT501B insulation resistance tester.
The UT500 series electrical insulation testers are used to measure the insulation resistance of electrical equipment and household appliances during regular inspections. This is done by measuring the insulation resistance between the electrical circuits or between the circuits and ground (equipment ground). The UT500 series can measure insulation resistance, AC voltage, low resistance, PI (polarization index) and DAR (dielectric absorption). The individual devices of the UT500 series differ from each other by test voltage ranges (UT501A 100V to 1000V, UT501B 250V to 1000V, UT502A 500V to 2500V), maximum measured insulation resistance (UT501A 0MΩ to 5GΩ, UT501B 0MΩ to 5GΩ, UT502A 0MΩ to 20GΩ) and some other parameters.
These are testing and inspection devices to ensure the correct function of transformers, generators, high-voltage motors, power capacitors, power cables, arresters, switches, electrical machines and appliances. They are ideal devices for performing electrical maintenance and are manufactured in accordance with IEC61010 and IEC61557 standards.
