Appliance disconnector as protection against deep battery discharge. Maximum load current 100 A. BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from insignificant loads before the battery is completely discharged (which would destroy it) or while it still has enough capacity to start the engine.

Easily programmable:
- BatteryProtect can be set to connect/disconnect to several different voltage levels. The seven-segment display shows which setting has been selected.

Special settings for Li-ion batteries:
- in this mode BatteryProtect can be controlled via the VE.Bus BMS.

Very low power consumption:
- low consumption is very important for Li-ion batteries, especially after switching off at low voltage. For more information, please see the Li-ion battery datasheet and the VE.Bus BMS manual.

Overvoltage protection:
- in the event of an overvoltage resulting in possible damage to sensitive devices, the devices are disconnected if the DC voltage exceeds 64 V

Spark resistant:
- it does not work with relay elements but with MOSFET transistor switches, no sparking occurs.

Delayed alarm output:
- the alarm output is activated if the battery voltage drops below the set value for more than 12 seconds. Starting the engine therefore does not activate the alarm. The alarm output is an open collector output on the negative bus, max. current 500 mA. The alarm output is typically connected to a buzzer or light signaling.

Delayed load disconnection:
- the load is disconnected 90 seconds after the alarm was triggered. If during this time the battery voltage rises to the "connection threshold" level (e.g. during engine start), the load will not be disconnected.

BatteryProtect battery protection is unidirectional, i.e. current can only flow from input "in" to output "out". Reverse current passing from the "out" output to the "in" input is unacceptable and will damage the device.
