Description
Fire and Smoke Detector - Model Kidde 29HD-L
Optical detector (photoelectric) powered by lithium battery (changeable) offers a detector power supply device for 5 years.
This autonomous fire detector meets the requirements of ČSN EN 14604 for installations according to the Decree No. 23/2008 Coll., On technical conditions of fire protection of buildings, which stipulates that each new building and defined building object must be equipped with an autonomous detection and signaling device.
Optical detector (photoelectric), designed for continuous air and smoke monitoring with 9V lithium battery for powering the detector for up to 5 years (included).
Thanks to photoelectric detection technology, the detector reacts more quickly to a fire, in the first stage, when a large amount of visible smoke is produced, without open fire, such as smoke from smoldering objects, etc. In the event of a fire, an acoustic signal of 85 dB is automatically triggered, and the device also signals the alarm visually (by indicating the red LED).
The fire detector is equipped with a test button TEST to check the correct functioning of the equipment and HUSH for temporary silencing of the fire detector in case of a false alarm. Pressing the button will immediately deactivate the alarm for about 10 minutes, reduce the sensitivity of the circuits and turn off the acoustic alarm. Only use the HUSH button if you know the cause of the detector activation (eg when cooking or frying). After about 10 minutes of deactivation of the detector, the detector is automatically reset to the original fire hazard monitoring setting. If a high concentration of smoke remains in the room, you can press the HUSH button repeatedly until the room is properly ventilated. This model is equipped with the latest Kidde photoelectric sensor.
Thanks to its exceptional modern design, this device can be installed in places with the possibility of accidental activation of the "false alarm" sensor, for example in the immediate vicinity of the kitchen, unlike other conventional fire detectors. The detector has a built-in automatic control system monitoring performance among other components is a sensor, battery, or internal circuitry. If a fault or low battery voltage is detected, the device will sound both acoustically and visually. The fire detector is equipped with a special lock to prevent accidental disassembly of the appliance by children or third parties.
Battery operation allows quick and easy installation and ensures proper operation of the detector. Recommended location of the fire detector: to the kitchen and its vicinity, to the living room, dining room, bedroom, hallway, boiler room, basement, attic and everywhere where you use electrical appliances such as electric cookers, etc. The detector is equipped with a system that prevents device installed without battery. Battery operation allows quick and easy installation and ensures correct operation of the detector regardless of voltage (eg in the event of a power failure).
At least one fire detector should be installed on each floor of the house, in front of each sleeping area or in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms.
Functional fire detector provides immediate warning of smoke or fire in the house, doubling the chances of survival of all persons in the house. There are many different types of fire detectors with different functions for their easy operation. Kidde recommends installing both ionizing and photoelectric detectors to ensure maximum detection of the various types of fire that may occur in your home.
Traditionally, 3 types of sensors are used for home fire and smoke detectors:
OPTICAL DETECTORS are more effective for detecting slow burning, which can cause several hours of smoldering before the flames burn.
IONIZATION TYPES OF FIRE DETECTORS are generally more effective for detecting fast-burning fires that rapidly spread and absorb flammable materials.
HEAT DETECTORS start when the room temperature reaches the set value (usually 56 ° C). These detectors are usually used in places where other types of detectors are not suitable.
Testing:
The best way to test and maintain the fire detector sensor is through the Detectasmoke calibration gas test kit. Detectasmoke verifies that the circuits and systems of photoelectric and ionisation fire and smoke detectors are working reliably and are actively seeking any sign of fire.
