APPLICATIONS
Sealing and sealing of various interior and exterior joints.
Sealing joints in general construction and repair work.
Adhesion to: glass, ceramic tiles, glazed (fired/sintered) surfaces, fiberglass, many plastics and anodized aluminum.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Cut off the tip of the cartridge.
Screw on the application nozzle and cut a hole at a 45° angle - slightly larger than the joint to be sealed.
Insert the cartridge into the sealant gun.
Apply the sealant by applying even pressure to the gun trigger and moving the nozzle smoothly along the joint.
Remove excess product and smooth the surface with a suitable tool.
LIMITATIONS
Do not use on bituminous substrates or on building materials that may release oils, plasticizers or solvents (e.g. natural rubber, chloroprene, EPDM, etc.).
Does not adhere to polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) or PTFE (Teflon®).
Do not use at temperatures below +5 °C.
Not recommended for sealing natural stone surfaces (e.g. marble and granite).
Corrosive to uncoated metals.
Not suitable for porous surfaces.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces to be sealed must be clean, dry and free of dust, loose particles, oil and old sealant.
Non-porous surfaces should be cleaned with solvent and a clean, lint-free cotton cloth; excess solvent should be removed with a clean cloth.
If necessary, protect adjacent surfaces with masking tape.
For wide joints, use expansion cord to ensure the correct thickness and shape of the joint.
Ensure sufficient ventilation in the workplace.
During curing, ensure that the sealed surfaces remain clean and not exposed to mechanical stress.
Due to the variety of building materials, a preliminary compatibility test is recommended.
Application temperature: from +5 °C to +40 °C.
CLEANING
Uncured sealant can be removed with solvents such as white spirit, acetone or PENOSIL Cleaning Wipes.
Cured sealant must be removed mechanically.
If necessary, silicone remover can be used.
STORAGE
Guaranteed shelf life: 18 months from date of production, when stored in closed, original packaging, in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, at a temperature between +5 °C and +30 °C.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Ensure sufficient ventilation during application and wear the necessary personal protective equipment.
