The Q-3 is a mini speaker cabinet that can be used either alone or in a series-parallel configuration of two, four, six or eight Q-3 speakers with 8 im, 4Ω, 8Ω, 5.33Ω or 4Ω output impedances. The speaker array settings offer controllable coverage characteristics and remarkable versatility, especially in places with difficult acoustics. Designed for medium and small sound amplification applications, the Q-3 system may also be the best solution for fixed installations where space is limited. The dual-band boxes are very compact and light, creating the perfect sound system for live music performances and AV presentations. Each Q-3 field can be equipped with up to eight boxes arranged in a curve. It is quite easy to optimize the scatter for different acoustic requirements of different locations with a variable scatter angle that can be set to 0, 4, 8 and 12 degrees. Simple installation requirements include hanging on the mounting hardware of the accessory. There are also other installation options, such as a pre-installation frame, which may include mounting on a subwoofer. There are two types of passive subwoofers Q-12S and Q-28S available for the Q-3 system. These subwoofers are equipped with 12 ”or 2 x 8” drivers with a rated power of 300 W. For portable compact systems with four satellites, a pole mounting system is available in both boxes.
The impedance of one Q-3 speaker cabinet is 8Ω and it is possible to connect up to 8 cabinets in parallel. The nominal continuous power consumption of one cabinet is 30W RMS and 90W peak.
