How does it work?

The mechanism of action of the herbicide Mistral is based on the inhibition of photosynthesis in photosystem II in susceptible weeds. Metribuzin is ingested by the roots, leaves and stems of weeds. The active substance is distributed systemically in plants mainly by xylem and less by phloem. Because metribuzin is also effective across the soil, it also acts on weeds that occur after herbicide application. Wet soil conditions increase efficiency in pre-emergence applications.

How to use it?

- Spraying on the soil (after sowing)
- In the period before emergence (ideal application time) or after emergence, up to a maximum of 10 cm of potato topping height
- Spray max. 1x per vegetation
- The herbicidal film formed after correct application of the product must not be disturbed by tillage or heavy rain immediately after spraying.
- On light soils and when growing early varieties, the dose of Mistral must be observed at a maximum of 5 g / 100 m2
- The prerequisite for the effectiveness of the product is sufficient soil moisture, the herbicide must be activated, for example, by precipitation. On soils with a higher sorption capacity and on soils with a high susceptibility to surface drying, a reduction in efficiency cannot be ruled out.
- The product must not affect the surrounding vegetation (for which this product is not registered)
