Brita now comes with a new and improved Maxtra Plus filter for those who want to drink tasty tap water without worrying about the unwanted substances contained in the water. The advantages of the Maxtra Plus Pure Performance cartridge are the use of activated carbon from coconut shells. The new filter cartridge contains more activated carbon, which closes chlorine and other substances that affect the taste and smell of water. Strong ion exchanger beads soften water, help protect appliances and reduce heavy metals in water. In addition, the super-fine strainer catches small particles from the pipes so that you really only drink clean drinking water. To ensure the best filtration, it is recommended to replace the filter after 100 liters of filtered water or after 30 days of use.

The cartridge contains a mixture of ion exchanger in the form of resin and activated carbon. Carbon absorbs chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, drug residues and other organic contaminants, improves taste and eliminates odors. The resin removes the temporary hardness that causes limescale. It also significantly reduces the amount of metals such as copper and lead in water. The filter mixture further contains an inhibitor that prevents the formation and growth of bacteria.
