APPLICATION
Sealing of joints exposed to high temperatures.
Sealing of mechanical elements operating at high temperatures, e.g. engine repairs.
Applications in various industrial solutions.
Adheres to: aluminium (lacquered, anodised, painted), treated metals, glass, ceramics, plastics (epoxy, polyester, polyacrylic) and laminated surfaces.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Cut off the tip of the cartridge.
Screw on the nozzle and cut a hole at a 45° angle - slightly larger than the joint to be sealed.
Insert the cartridge into the sealant gun.
Apply the product by applying even pressure to the gun trigger and moving the nozzle smoothly along the joint.
Remove excess product and smooth the surface with a suitable tool.
RESTRICTIONS
Do not use on bituminous substrates or on building materials that may release oils, plasticisers or solvents (e.g. natural rubber, chloroprene or EPDM).
Does not adhere to polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) or PTFE (Teflon®).
Do not use at temperatures below +5°C.
Not recommended for sealing natural stone surfaces such as marble and granite.
The product is corrosive to bare metals.
Not suitable for sealing engine cylinders or mechanical components that are constantly exposed to fuel.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces to be sealed must be clean, dry and free of dust, loose particles, oil and old sealant.
Non-porous surfaces should be cleaned with solvent using a clean, lint-free cloth and excess solvent should be removed.
If necessary, protect adjacent surfaces with masking tape.
For wide joints, use expansion cord to achieve the correct joint thickness and shape.
Ensure adequate ventilation in the workplace.
During curing, ensure that the sealed surfaces remain clean and free from mechanical stress.
Due to the variety of building materials, we recommend performing a preliminary compatibility test.
Application temperature: from +5 °C to +40 °C.
CLEANING
Uncured sealant can be cleaned with solvents such as white spirit, acetone or special PENOSIL cleaning wipes.
Cured sealant is removed mechanically.
If necessary, use silicone remover.
STORAGE
Guaranteed shelf life of 12 months from date of production, when stored in closed original packaging, in a dry place, at a temperature between +5 °C and +30 °C.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Ensure sufficient ventilation during application and wear the necessary personal protective equipment.
