Description
A universal spray adhesive based on synthetic rubber that can also be used as a primer to improve adhesion when installing vapor barrier and windproof tapes. The surface layer of the adhesive is transparent and guarantees immediate and very strong initial adhesion.
Adheres well to wood, plastic, metal, textile, cardboard and paper, concrete, aerated concrete, silicate, plaster, masonry, metal, wood, chipboard and glass.
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Adhesive: Universal spray adhesive based on synthetic rubber can be used in a variety of applications to bond very different surfaces. As a contact adhesive, PENOSIL Prime&Fix 900 can be used to bond porous and non-porous surfaces. This adhesive is used in the furniture, automotive and packaging industries as well as in construction in general. Not suitable for bonding PVC or PVC-coated materials.
Primer: The use of a primer when installing vapor barrier and windproof tapes helps to achieve a fast and reliable connection. The primer of the substrate guarantees a permanent and immediate connection of vapor-proof and wind-resistant tapes to porous and non-porous surfaces. A primer may be necessary especially for concrete surfaces, various types of masonry and wooden substrates. The primer is not suitable for use on: polystyrene (including EPS, XPS), bitumen or Teflon surfaces.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
conditions of use
Use at temperatures from -5 °C to +35 °C. The temperature of the aerosol container must be at least +15 °C during use.
Surface preparation
The surfaces must be dry, clean of dust, loose particles and oil. Non-porous surfaces should be cleaned with solvent and a clean, lint-free cotton cloth. Excess solvent should be removed with a clean cloth before it evaporates.
Method of use
Bonding with glue: The surfaces to be joined must be clean and free of dust. Mechanically remove loose and loosely attached parts. Shake the container at least 30 times before use. Spray the adhesive on the substrate in a thin layer from a distance of 5 - 10 cm. After coating the surfaces with glue, wait 15 - 60 seconds and then press the surfaces together. The total drying time can be up to 20 minutes, depending on the substrate. If the adhesive is not to be used within the next 24 hours, turn the aerosol can upside down and press the applicator several times to remove any residue. 500 ml is enough to bond approximately 2 m² of material. For contact bonding, spray the adhesive on both bonded surfaces.
Use as a primer: The substrate must be clean and free of dust. Mechanically remove loose and loosely attached parts. Shake the container at least 30 times before use. Spray the primer onto the substrate in a thin layer from a distance of 5 - 10 cm. After applying the primer, wait 15 - 60 seconds and then apply vapor barrier or windproof tape to the surface. Use a pressure roller for optimal adhesion. Depending on the substrate, the primer may take up to 20 minutes to dry completely. If you do not use the primer within the next 24 hours, turn the aerosol can upside down and press the applicator a few times to remove any residue. 500 ml is sufficient to prime about 100 m of the surface of vapor-proof or wind-resistant tape with a width of 5 - 10 cm.
Cleaning
Immediately remove the remains of the primer with the solvent White Spirit (white spirit).
