What can DeoTech remove?

Activated carbon is designed to remove all organic odor-causing molecules - cheese, fish, garlic, raw meat. Essentially, odors are derived by the flowing air that absorbs these different 'molecules'. A lot of air circulates inside the refrigerators. This is to keep them cool, which is the essence of their functionality. However, it creates an ideal environment for a wide range of organic molecules, creating unpleasant odors to be trapped and absorbed.

How does DeoTech work?

Activated carbon is a standard medium used for water filtration - a specialty of water filter manufacturers. It is also widely used in air filtration for air conditioning systems. It works on the basis of "millions" of tiny slits on its surface that "trap" the organic modules in the media. Not only are DeoTech blocks made of activated carbon, their free-flow core and hundreds of honeycomb-like structures allow air to flow freely in larger quantities through the medium. The blocks thus provide a larger amount of carbon, ie more slits, and thus significantly improve the filtration performance.

What is the lifetime of DeoTech?

DeoTech blocks are designed to be resistant to moisture and water, which means that they do not disintegrate or degrade in the refrigerator. The manufacturer's recommended use is six months!

If I place it on the shelf, how can I be sure it works properly?

The best place for your DeoTech block is the top position of your fridge. The refrigerator is equipped with a small fan that drives the air - it basically pushes cold air first into the top of the refrigerator and then pulls it down. Due to the fact that cold air tends to fall and hot air, on the contrary, to rise, the mentioned ventilation inside the refrigerator provides the most even distribution of heat in the entire cooling space. By placing a DeoTech block on the top shelf of the refrigerator, we ensure that the block is near a constant source of air flow. If the block is placed in the right place in the refrigerator, its effect will be noticeable within one or two hours of its installation.
