Description
PENOSIL Fire-resistant foam B1 187 is a one-component polyurethane foam for gun application.
It is intended for installation and sealing of fire-resistant doors, windows, walls and other elements requiring increased fire resistance.
It is characterized by excellent adhesion to most building materials, such as wood, concrete, stone, plaster, metal, PVC and polystyrene.
Fire resistance up to 240 minutes.
Fire resistance class: B1 (DIN) and B-s1,d0 (EN).
Low secondary expansion.
High mechanical strength.
Excellent adhesion to many building materials.
Very good thermal insulation and sound insulation properties.
COLOR
Red.
PACKAGING
Aerosol canister 750 ml.
APPLICATION
Installation of fire-resistant doors and windows.
Sealing joints in fire walls.
Filling and sealing areas requiring increased fire resistance.
Improving thermal and acoustic insulation.
Reducing thermal bridges.
Adheres to: plasterboard, plaster, wood, concrete, stone, bricks, walls, metals, EPS and plastics.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Surfaces to be applied must be clean, dry and free of dust, loose particles and oil stains.
For faster curing and better quality of the joint, moisten dry surfaces with water.
Shake the can thoroughly at least 20 times.
Hold the can vertically with the valve upwards and screw it onto the gun.
Hold the can upside down during application.
The foam output can be adjusted using the gun trigger and the adjusting screw.
Fill gaps to approximately 75% of their volume - the foam expands as it hardens.
For larger gaps, apply the foam in layers and lightly moisten each subsequent layer with water.
Excess hardened foam can be removed mechanically, e.g. with a knife.
LIMITATIONS
Does not adhere to polyethylene (PE), PTFE (Teflon®) or silicone.
Do not use at temperatures below +5 °C.
Cured foam must be protected from UV radiation by covering with paint, plaster or other protective material.
Do not cover the foam until it has completely hardened.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Air temperature during use: +5 °C to +30 °C.
Adjacent surfaces should be protected with paper, protective foil or other suitable material.
Due to the variety of building materials, a preliminary compatibility test is recommended.
When applying at low temperatures, the foam should be warmed to room temperature (approximately +20 °C).
CLEANING
To remove fresh foam, use PENOSIL 929 foam cleaner.
PENOSIL Foam Remover 995 softens hardened foam and makes it easier to remove.
STORAGE
Guaranteed shelf life of 12 months from date of production, when stored in closed original packaging, in a dry place, at a temperature between +5 °C and +30 °C. Do not expose to temperatures above +50 °C, do not store near heat sources and in direct sunlight.
Store and transport in an upright position.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Pressurized container. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Do not smoke during application! Use personal protective equipment if necessary. Keep out of reach of children. For more detailed safety information, please refer to the label and the safety data sheet (SDS).
