Ultra-fast power supply switch. The Filax switch was developed for switching the power supply of sensitive devices such as computers, industrial control systems or modern audiovisual and entertainment equipment from the priority AC source to the second alternative source. A typical priority source is electricity. distribution network, generator or other source, e.g. local electricity connection, e.g. at the port or at the campsite. A typical alternative source is a DC-AC inverter. Due to the very fast switching speed of less than 20 milliseconds, sensitive devices and equipment will continue to operate without interruption. Filax is not intended for uninterruptible power supply of large household appliances, such as washing machines or electric motors, due to excessive inrush currents.
The possibility of setting the operating frequency of 50 or 60 Hz using a jumper. Switching from the priority to the alternative AC source occurs if the voltage of the priority source drops below the value of 180 V or the frequency of the priority source drops below the value of 45 Hz (46 Hz) or, conversely, above the value of 60 Hz (68 Hz). Switching back to the priority source will take place in 30 seconds at the earliest. If the parameters come back to acceptable values, which is a voltage of at least 188 V, a minimum frequency of 47 Hz (52 Hz) or 56 Hz (63 Hz). Values in brackets apply to a frequency of 60 Hz.
It is installed in a dry and well-ventilated place. The inputs must be protected against currents exceeding 16 A. If the total consumption of the consumers is less than 850 W, the connections (jumpers) are manually removed from the Filax device.
