Kidde 10SCO is a battery-powered, carbon monoxide (CO) fire, smoke and fatal hazard detector in one device, offering double protection for maximum safety comfort.
Kidde 10SCO has a unique voice alert system to help you determine which danger has just been detected - the alarm announces:
"WARNING CARBON MONOXIDE!" Or "FIRE FIRE" ("FIRE!").

The voice alert system also warns the user if the detector enters temporary detector silence mode, when undesirable CO levels are detected by the detector's highest measured value, or when the battery power is reduced.

With a 10-year second-generation electrochemical sensor lifetime and state-of-the-art photoelectric sensor, Kidde 10SCO provides a 10-year warranty and up to 80% longer lifetime and protection than many other detectors and detectors currently on offer.

The combined detector is equipped with a multifunctional Test / Reset / Hush button capable of:
(a) verification of the proper functioning of the installation;
b) is used to trigger an event related to smoke or the highest CO level measured since the device memory reset;
(c) allows the detector circuits to be temporarily deactivated for approximately 10 minutes.

The status of the sensors, battery, and internal circuits is monitored by an automatic efficiency control system. If a fault is detected, the detector will emit a single beep at a periodic 30-second interval to indicate that it has a fault. Battery power allows the device to be positioned in the optimal position.
The device includes a mounting bracket designed to fix the device to a ceiling or wall.
Carbon monoxide is a colorless, tasteless and odorless gas produced by poor combustion of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, natural gas, LPG, coal and wood. It can also be produced by poorly maintained or broken down fuel burning domestic appliances such as: boilers, gas appliances, karma, grills, clogged chimneys, ventilation systems or damaged flue gas ducts.
Common symptoms of CO poisoning include headaches, nausea, fatigue or muscle pain - but these can easily be confused with the diagnosis of influenza. It is therefore important to protect your family and home with carbon monoxide detectors.

Signaling
Exceeding permissible CO concentration: 85 dB acoustic alarm plus a sequence of 4 short warning beeps followed by a voice warning "WARNING CARBON MONOXIDE!" After four minutes, this warning is repeated once per minute until the detector is turned on. does not reset, or until carbon monoxide is eliminated. The red LED flashes in the detector's voice alert mode.

Fire detection: In the event of a fire, an acoustic alarm of 85 dB plus 3 long alarm beeps followed by a voice warning "FIRE !, FIRE!" This sequence is repeated until the smoke disappears.
