The module measures the capacity of a cell or battery with a voltage of 1.5-12V by measuring time, discharge current and terminal voltage. Data on the currently measured capacity, current consumption and terminal voltage are gradually displayed on the screen up to the set end voltage value during the measurement. The module then disconnects the cell or battery from the load and displays its capacity. Possibility of correction of end voltage or calibration of measured voltage and discharge current.

Instructions for use:
1) Connect the measured cell or battery, the discharge resistor and then the power supply of the module (micro USB). The display shows the terminal voltage of the battery.
2) Use the + and - buttons to adjust the final trip voltage when the module disconnects the load from the battery. For Li-Ion or LiPol cells, set 2.7V (preset 2.5V), or multiples of this voltage, for a 12V lead battery 10.8V (default 9V). Confirm with OK.
3) The measured capacity will now start to be read and the values ​​of the current consumption and terminal voltage will also be displayed one after the other. When the end voltage is reached, the battery is disconnected from the load and the measured capacity value flashes on the display. Press OK to display the capacity permanently and press OK again to reset the module and be ready for any further measurements.
4) The discharge resistance is determined with respect to the nominal voltage and the capacity of the measured battery. For Li-Ion cell 18650 a resistance of 3.6–7.5ohm (discharge current 0.5–1A) is suitable, for a 12V lead battery with a capacity of 10–40Ah a resistance of 4-5–5ohm (discharge current 3A). However, the exact size of the resistance does not affect the correct measurement of the module, it only affects the operating conditions during discharge.


Error messages:
- ERR1: battery voltage is higher than 15V
- ERR2: the battery voltage is lower than the preset final cut-off voltage
- ERR3: terminal voltage drops too fast (defective battery or high discharge current)
- ERR4: Discharge current is higher than 3.1A - increase the value of the discharge resistance

Calibration:
if an accurate calibration voltage of 10,0000V or an accurate A-meter with a range of 2A is available, you can calibrate the module for more accurate measurements. You enter the calibration mode by pressing all three buttons simultaneously. Then the test starts automatically, by long pressing the OK button it is possible to correct the display.

The product is not a stand-alone unit, it requires professional installation.
