When the end of the alarm's lifetime is approaching, the detector itself will alert you with an acoustic and optical signal.
Optical and acoustic signalling The CO alarm is equipped with three LEDs that indicate every 30 seconds whether the device is fully operational. If the detector is in an error state and the CO levels in the room are not reliably measured, the LEDs will flash yellow every 30 seconds and the device will simultaneously emit an acoustic signal.
Alarm functionality can be verified at any time by pressing the TEST/SILENCE button. If the device is fully functional, it will beep 4 times and the LED signal will flash 4 times at the same time.
Safety fuse The CO alarm is equipped with a safety fuse so that you do not forget to insert batteries into the detector. If both batteries are not inserted in the device, two metal tabs under the battery compartment ensure that the battery cover cannot be closed.
Easy installation The CO alarm P56402 is designed for wall mounting or for free placement anywhere in the room. Two holes are provided on the detector for hanging on the wall. The alarm is easily attached by drilling two holes in the wall, inserting the dowels and screws included in the package and simply hanging the device.
Where to place the detector The CO alarm P56402 should be mounted on the wall in all rooms where there is equipment burning fossil fuels (wood, coal, gas, petrol, etc.). Dangerous concentrations of carbon monoxide are most often caused by the failure or neglect of maintenance of such equipment or by insufficient ventilation.
It is also recommended to place a CO detector in all rooms where you spend a lot of time (bedrooms, living rooms, children's rooms).
