Car charger suitable for charging batteries with a smaller capacity, eg: scooters, motorcycles, etc.

A small charger without control buttons with a charging current of 1A and 4 + 1 charging phases, which are automatically controlled by a microprocessor, is designed for charging all types of 6 and 12V lead (Pb) batteries, especially with lower capacity, ie in scooters, motors, power plants with an electric start, etc., which with regard to their service life is not desirable or it is dangerous to charge them with a higher charging current using, for example, a microprocessor charger designed for car batteries.
Due to the size of the charging current, this charger is especially suitable for those who, in addition to car batteries, also have lead-acid batteries with a lower capacity, for charging of which a smaller charging current is required.
In the case of car batteries and other 12 V lead-acid batteries with a higher capacity, this charger serves as a maintenance charger with a long-term connection to a lead-acid battery, when the vehicle is taken out of service for a long time and the battery is not regularly charged while driving, eg in winter.

Charging phase:
1 - DETECTION: determining the type of battery connected and determining its charge level
2 - SOFT START: gradual onset of charging current
3 - BULK: charging process
4 - BATTERY TEST: evaluation of the battery charge status
5 - FLOAT: maintaining a constant voltage with a holding pulse current

- After charging the battery, the charger switches to pulse charging mode, in which it only compensates for losses caused by natural discharge and thus keeps the battery fully charged, does not overcharge it and prolongs its life.
- The indicators on the charger indicate the battery charge status.
- The charger automatically detects if it is connected to a 6V or 12V battery and the microprocessor itself controls the individual charging phases.
- Pulse charging mode allows the charger to be connected to the battery for a long time without overcharging, which is useful when the vehicle is parked for a long time.
- Integrated protection against sparking, short circuit and polarity reversal.
